Visit to RAF Museum Reserve Collection at RAF Stafford
The Branch combined the wreath laying at the Hopton Heath Memorial with a visit to the RAF Museum Reserve collection on the 18th March 2011. We were shown around the artifacts and given a througher insite on how the collection is maintained and added to. All aspects of the RFC and RAF were represented and even items captured from the German Air Force. The items that generated the most interest was the Mk19 Spitfires which are going to be restored in Australia. See if you can identify some of the items.
